Currently, Professor of Marketing and Member of the Board of Governors, CASS Europe, Brussels
1962-1980. 18 years of experience, 2 of which scientific and 16 at senior management level, in the international pharmaceutical industry based on Norway. Extensive board experience, national and international, in both academic and business context, including the branch organization for foreign pharmaceutical companies in Norway, Chairman of PR Committee, and 6 years on the academic Board of the Norwegian Society for Pharmacology and Toxicology. Refreshed post graduate education (“Etterutdannelseskurs for Leger”) in Pharmacology (1970,1975) and Clinical Pharmacology (1978), at Universities of Bergen and Oslo.
1981-2003. Full-time academic management-teaching after MBA/MSc Warwick University, firstly as Study Manager, Senior Study in Marketing and Administration (SMA) at Markedsføringskolen, Oslo. 1984 instrumental in establishing Norges Markedshøyskolen (NMH). Initially, Director of full-time studies before moving fully into the academic staff responsible for studies in Marketing and Strategy. Following a merger with BI, responsible for marketing courses at BI’s regional campuses. Visiting lecturer and visiting professor at several university colleges in Norway and 3 European universities and colleges. Also lectured in Europe on the CASS programme. External examiner at 6 Norwegian university colleges and University of Agder. 1991-93, Høyereavdelingsstudium I økonomisk-administrative fag, NHH, Bergen to gain a Norwegian platform.
Re-engaged by BI upon retirement to lecture for a further 9 years in International Marketing on the exchange students programme. Appointed permanent professor at CASS Europe with extensive international lecturing.
Wide experience over the years in international conferences in Europe, South America and Asia as invited Chairman, Session Chairman or to present papers. Publications include articles, peer reviewed papers and contributing editor or contributed chapters in books.
In addition to varied and extensive Board experience from small companies to large international businesses and academic bodies, have wide background from international consulting to business organisations and public bodies,the latter including WHO, Geneva; National Health Services, Norges Eksportråd, Local Hospitals in Norway, government bodies and NGOs.
