Elinor Turander has more than two decades experience in communications and marketing in the UK and Norway. She has worked with a diverse range of clients from FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 multinationals through to SMEs and scale-ups.
Elinor has broad experience from leadership roles in all communications functions including Media, Internal Communications, Digital Communications, Brand and Marketing. Her deepest passion is for corporate communications and enabling B2B companies to take a thought leadership position to drive reputation.
She has experience of communicating major organizational changes including mergers and acquisitions, most recently with the merger of Aker Solutions with Kvaerner. She also has experience of issues management and media training.
She is currently VP at Aker Solutions, with responsibility for the Engineering business segment and a new energy consulting offering.
Prior to her current role she spent five years at DNV where she held a number of leadership roles in communications.
In London Elinor worked for a strategic communications agency advising customers including Unilever, Manpower Group and Tesco. She authored the PR module for Unilever’s acclaimed Marketing Academy, provided consultancy for the Unilever corporate brand and helped launch Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan.
Elinor has lived in the Oslo area in Norway for the last ten years, with her Swedish husband and two children.
